THE FIRM is an Alternative Pop Band from Indonesia. Started by the same interested about music, The Bends with personnel’s are Odie, Aji, Ariel & Anay Ndut were lacked of personnel for vocalist and keyboardist position. Then they recruited Ipang & Ian Gorgom for join to the group and made a new band. Retro and futuristic sounds built up the character of the band, the band then called THE FIRM. THE FIRM tries to give hopeless and dark feel in their music. Broken hearted is something bad, but THE FIRM presents that bad things to be beautiful. In their songs, romantics and reality lyrics about failing in love are being one of their characters. Static’s vocal, classic distortion guitar effects, conservative harmonic bass, keyboard and synthesizer as pressure of the taste. The Firm inspired by Radiohead, Rialto, Sonic Youth, Morrissey, Moby, etc. THE SONGS CINTA ABADI (TRUE LOVE) In this song, The Firm gives some free perception to audiences to mean that what CINTA ABADI told about. It told about someone left by his lover but there is synonym in Indonesian about “Nya” (him/her/it). In this context, go with him…or Him. This person just wants to kiss and hug his lover for the last time because his lover left him. WANITA (Woman) Again The Firm tended a broken heart story but in this time The Firm told about how difficult to make a woman believe that this someone love is true even tough he have lied his lover. Until this person never want to ask for his ex - girlfriend to be loved. PATAH HATI (Broken Heart) The same theme we tended to you. It’s all about broken hearted. PATAH HATI told about the person who been hurt by his lover, he wish his ex – girlfriend sorry for left him and this person never want to replay his love story with his ex – girlfriend although he still loves her.
