| The Infinity Gate will be the name of The Sailing's first LP. To buy the album contact the band at myspace.com/thesailing The track order is still undetermined, but The Infinity Gate will contain the following songs: The Great Escape Disco Massacre Desert Ash Miss Medina Gun Metal Trees Golden Horse Vernacular The End Of The World Exit Captain Black Water Graves The Funeral Dancer The Territories We realize that there are many songs that have already been released on EPs and demos...but we also realize that those EPs and demos kinda suck (no offense to Black Disco Ball, who helped produce the EPs). We just spent a week in West Virginia recording drums, bass, and guitar. I (Tech) still have to lay down the keyboard tracks and then James and I will head back out to West Vagina to record the vocals in about a month or so. We promise that these recordings will be the best versions of these songs that we can possibly provide you. Brian Spragg (our engineer, co-producer guy) has done a fantastic job capturing the white thunder and glory (holes) of The Sailing! Hmmm.... We also beat 9 video games whilst recording. They were: 1.) Super Mario World (SNES) *Tech beat all 96 levels in one sitting (5-6 hours). 2.) Super Mario 64 (N64) *James got all 120 stars in 2 sittings (20 or so hours). 3.) Final Fantasy VI Advance (GBA) *Tech already had most of it beaten when we got there. 4.) Aladdin (SNES) *Tech and James beat the first 2 levels and then the aforementioned Brian Spragg beat the rest. That game's fucking retarded. 5.) Street Fighter II Turbo (SNES) *Various people including Michael, James, Tech, Brian, and Honor (Tech's brother-in-law) beat this game using only Blanka. We used 4 out of 4 stars of Turbo and we used the 4-star difficulty level (Normal Level) 6.) Mega Man X (SNES) *Tech and James beat a few levels, but Brian deserves most of the credit. That game is ridiculous. 7.) Kirby's Avalanche (SNES) *Michael beat this game solo. This game is almost impossible. 8.) Kirby Superstar (SNES) *This is a collection of 8 games. Tech beat the first 7 by himself, and then Michael joined in for some incredible co-op action to beat the 8th game. 9.) Goldeneye 007 (N64) *James beat every level except for the last 3. Gus beat 1 of the final 3, and Honor beat the last two. They beat it on Agent mode. So yeah. It was a good week. James says, "Hi!" The Sailing |
